In our house, pizza night isn’t just a meal—it’s a full-on event. We crank up our favorite playlist, open a bottle of wine, and take over the kitchen together. This Steak, Mushroom, Green Onion, and Roasted Garlic Pizza has become one of our go-to creations, and let’s just say, it never disappoints.

One of us handles the dough (because let’s face it, one of us has better patience for the rolling pin), while the other works on prepping the toppings. Tender slices of steak, earthy mushrooms, fresh green onions, and sweet, roasted garlic—it’s a combo that feels indulgent and hits all the right notes. The kitchen fills with the best smells as it bakes, and we both agree that the roasted garlic really takes it to the next level.

By the time it’s out of the oven, we’re practically fighting over who gets the first slice. Served with a simple side salad and a little extra wine, it’s our idea of a perfect night in. Plus, there’s just something special about creating something this delicious together—it makes the whole experience that much more satisfying.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (enough for one large pizza)
  • 1/2 lb steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 head of garlic, roasted and cloves mashed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat as well.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Brush the surface of the dough with olive oil, then evenly spread the mashed roasted garlic over it.
  4. Evenly distribute the sliced steak, mushrooms, and green onions over the garlic.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the toppings. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
